It seems to be very hard to use comsol to solve contact mechanics problems. Parametric solvers seem to be the only working solvers, followed by Static solvers. Transient solvers never work. Are these arguments true?

$\begingroup$ It is "normal" that contact mechanics is difficult to use in Comsol because it is a difficult problem. I don't know what Comsol calls a "parametric solver", but you can, certainly, have contact in dynamic problems. I think that it is better to go to the manual and check what papers are the references for their implementation and read them. $\endgroup$ – nicoguaro Jul 11 at 13:26
